Happy Pi Day!
Today is just as good a day to write my first blog post and keep everyone up to date with my theatrical endeavors. My main focus this semester is in an independent study course where I'm exploring the history of the archetypal yankee character in American theatre from around 1825 to 1860. It may seem like an incredibly boring subject but it's filled with life and humor from our early republic. I'll be writing a scholarly paper (which I may submit to some journals), but definitely look out for a lecture which I'll give sometime at the end of the semester in the Theatre Department at Stony Brook.
While I also keep myself busy with my other courses, I'll be starting to work on a possible show for Management Productions this summer. Some people are also interested in my idea for a staged production of Douglas Adams' Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
More info to follow soon on both fronts!
